Responsibilities
- Carry out calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a range of medical devices in line with technical documentation.
- Record and update service activity, including work orders, repair history, and spare parts usage in service systems.
- Follow quality standards, safety requirements, and internal guidelines at all times.
- Provide technical guidance and training to customers and colleagues on equipment use and maintenance.
- Support issue resolution by working closely with sales and technical support teams.
- Diagnose faults using appropriate tools, software, and technical documentation.
- Manage workload effectively to meet service timelines and customer expectations.
- Represent the organisation in a professional and respectful manner during customer interactions.
Qualifications
- Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in a service engineering or field-based technical role, ideally within medical devices, healthcare, or laboratory equipment.
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems.
- Confidence in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to different audiences.
- Comfortable working independently with good organisation and time management skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools; experience with service systems such as SAP or ServiceMax is beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel as required.
