OverviewWe are supporting a major engineering transformation programme within a leading financial services organisation. This role is ideal for experienced engineering leads who are passionate about driving technical excellence and improving delivery maturity across teams.
The initial phase involves contributing to an engineering maturity assessment and the development of a comprehensive playbook covering standards, tooling, principles, and ways of working. Following this, the successful candidate will embed within engineering squads to coach, implement improvements, and support long-term capability uplift.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement agreed standards and practices
- Coach engineers in modern software development methodologies
- Drive adoption of tooling and ways of working outlined in the transformation playbook
- Influence team behaviours and delivery quality without direct authority
