Overview
Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the North UK, responsible for the service, repair and/or installation of products or IT solutions at customer sites, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts. Diagnoses system failures and determines the most cost-effective solution. Escalates complex issues to higher levels of technical support or quality reporting systems. May develop new customer service/product agreements. Responds to customer support calls within an assigned territory. Demonstrates the ability to use critical thinking and analysis to make decisions, solve problems and implement solutions. Communicates honestly and builds empathy with customers, colleagues and collaborators.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical customer support and on-site assistance to customers.
- Escalate complex issues to higher levels of technical support.
- Respond to customer support calls within an assigned territory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferable, or Biotech Technical/Electronic Secondary School Diploma; proficient English is mandatory.
- Open to travel; driving license is mandatory.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Experience with Service Max will be beneficial.
