About the Position

The Contract & Relationship Manager is responsible for the full ownership of the governance and oversight of multiple complex contracts. This role reports to the Managed Service Contracts Manager and is part of the Managed Service Contracts Team. The position focuses on one of our major customers in the London area (SWLP – South West London Pathology).

Responsibilities

  • Undertake all aspects of contract evaluation and governance, including monitoring KPIs.
  • Monitor sub‑contractor contract compliance to detailed Key Performance Indicators and take appropriate actions as agreed with line management and key stakeholders.
  • Draft standard contract documents such as non‑disclosure agreements, change control documents, framework schedules, etc. as required.
  • Provide excellent customer experience, demonstrating knowledge of the role, pride in capabilities, and commitment to customer loyalty.
  • Manage performance and financial statistics for both Beckman Coulter and sub‑contractors, investigating opportunities to control and drive down costs while pursuing continual performance improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • Knowledge of managed services with account management experience, delivering and monitoring contract performance/compliance.
  • Excellent customer service, business management techniques and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working in a team handling complex projects with management of multiple stakeholders with varying agendas.
  • Outstanding planning and organisational skills, evidenced by creation and execution of successful strategic plans and contract performance.
  • Understanding of public procurement and supplier management in a laboratory setting.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

  • Ability to travel – the role requires 70% travel, including time spent at SWLP offices. Some wider travel with overnight stays may be required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Experience

  • Tender proposal management.
  • Procurement and supply chain process.
