As our new Technical Administrator you will support the Technical Department in the management of customer and supplier data, including customer specification platforms, key quality assurance information management systems and any additional tasks deemed necessary to achieve this. In this role you will manage the quality complaints process, in regards to the technical department’s requirements, including feedback to site process teams. You will also support and take an active role in Technical Project work.
To be successful in this role it will be essential that you have a Food Science Degree or equivalent. Experience with retail specification systems, such as APP and ORBC, would be an advantage. If you are numerate and literate, competent with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint then this could be the role for you.
Main duties will include:
- Completing relevant data analysis and reporting of that analysis to the relevant departments.
- Investigate and respond to complaints, and to communicate corrective actions, in conjunction with the QA Manager, to the relevant site team(s).
- Completing customer SAQ’s and QAS’s.
- Assisting/ supporting the department with 2nd and 3rd party audits of the sites.
- Conducting internal audits as assigned.
- Attending relevant meetings and to record / distribute minutes.
- Assisting the department in the maintenance of relevant QMS/HMS systems, where required.
- To conduct traces and Mass Balances as assigned.
- Undertaking and completing any reasonable requests from the Head of Technical / QA Manager.
Reliable and conscientious. Have effective planning and organisation skills and ability to prioritise. Works in accurate/logical/methodical manner. Demonstrates clear communication skills both verbal and written at all levels. Proactive, positive and can do approach. Effective analytical skills. Positive leadership and influencing skills. Continually challenges / drives standards forward. High standard of technical knowledge, including HACCP. Good working knowledge of UK/EU legislative requirements in food manufacturing. Good understanding of industry standards and customer codes of practice. Experience in specification systems. Team Player but can work autonomously. Personable and approachable. Capable and confident of working with minimum supervision. Experience in Food Manufacturing is desired.
