Shift: 1800-0600 continental shift, working 7 shifts over a 14 day period

Salary: £29,569.93

The role

As a successful Hygiene Operative, you will play a critical role within the hygiene department. You will ensure that the production lines and equipment are cleaned according to the safe system of work. This includes:

  • Ensuring standard operating procedures are correctly followed
  • Ensuring cleaning equipment is in working order and safe to use
  • Cleaning machinery in machine wash to specification and ensuring the machines are in working order and safe to use
  • Keeping line areas clean at all times, including the removal of waste
  • Using cleaning chemicals to correct concentrations
  • Routine deep cleaning schedules
  • Following all health and safety protocols
  • Developing and promoting a health and safety culture, ensuring regular and consistent job rotation

The successful individual

  • Experience gained in a similar role is essential
  • The ability to comply with Hygiene Standard Operating Procedures, and work well under pressure
  • Heavy lifting and manual handling is a major requirement in this role
