At Beck & Pollitzer , safety is at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a proactive Health & Safety Auditor to join our UK SHEQ team and help drive excellence across our industrial installation projects.
As a Health & Safety Auditor, you will conduct risk-based audits and site inspections, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, company standards and ISO 45001 requirements. Working closely with project teams and management, you will identify risks, recommend practical improvements and support a positive safety culture across our operations.
Location: Burton upon Trent (with regular travel to project sites across the UK)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Health & Safety audits and inspections across UK project sites.
- Identify hazards, assess risks and recommend effective corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with company procedures, client requirements and UK HSE legislation.
- Support accident, incident and near miss investigations, including root cause analysis.
- Review RAMS and contractor documentation prior to site activities.
- Produce clear audit reports and monitor completion of agreed actions.
- Analyse audit trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support ISO 45001 compliance and internal audit activities.
- Promote best practice and engage positively with site teams to improve Health & Safety performance.
About You:
You will be a practical and confident Health & Safety professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced project environment and building strong relationships across multiple sites.
You will have:
- NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum.
- 2β3 years' experience in a Health & Safety role.
- Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
- Mechanical or electrical industry background.
- Experience working on construction or industrial project sites.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and excellent organisational skills.
