At BECK London, we deliver exceptional luxury interiors through precision, craftsmanship and an uncompromising attention to detail.

Working across some of London’s most prestigious hospitality, residential and high-end interior projects, we bring together design excellence, technical expertise and exceptional project delivery.

We are looking for an experienced Design Manager to join our team and manage the design process across complex and detail-driven projects.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Design Lead, you will take ownership of the day-to-day management and coordination of design from pre-construction through to delivery.

Working closely with clients, architects, interior designers, consultants, specialist subcontractors and our internal project teams, you will ensure design information is fully coordinated, technically compliant, buildable and aligned with programme, cost and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Managing and coordinating the design process across all project stages.
  • Acting as a key interface between clients, consultants, specialist subcontractors and project teams.
  • Reviewing and coordinating design information to ensure accuracy, quality, buildability and design intent.
  • Leading design workshops, technical reviews and coordination meetings.
  • Managing design programmes, information requirements, risks, clashes and change control.
  • Identifying and developing practical solutions to complex design and technical challenges.
  • Supporting value-engineering opportunities without compromising design intent or quality.
  • Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations, statutory requirements, planning conditions and project-specific requirements.
  • Supporting the Senior Design Lead with design strategy and technical coordination.
  • Maintaining the professionalism, discretion and attention to detail expected when working on high-profile luxury projects.

About You

You will be an experienced Design Manager with a strong understanding of high-quality fit-out and interiors.

Ideally, your experience will include luxury hospitality, high-end residential, premium commercial interiors or similarly complex, detail-led environments.

You will bring

  • Strong technical knowledge of construction, detailing and fit-out processes.
  • Proven experience managing consultant and specialist subcontractor design information.
  • Experience taking projects from pre-construction through to site delivery.
  • A strong understanding of buildability, sequencing and the interface between design and construction.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to work directly with clients, architects, designers and senior consultants.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to challenge constructively where required.
  • Good working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction processes.
  • Experience with design-management systems and digital coordination; BIM experience would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Auto CAD.
  • A degree or equivalent experience in Architecture, Construction Management, Interior Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • What You'll Bring to BECK London

Beyond technical capability, we are looking for someone who understands the level of care required to deliver exceptional luxury interiors.

You will be professional, credible and collaborative, with an appreciation for design quality, craftsmanship and the finer details that distinguish an exceptional project.

You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, confident taking ownership of design issues and committed to finding solutions that protect design intent while enabling successful delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, design-led business and work alongside highly experienced professionals delivering some of London’s most prestigious interiors.

If you have the experience, technical capability and attention to detail we're looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
