As an HR Professional, you will interact with Bechtel staff to answer and resolve inquiries on HR policies, ensure alignment and effectiveness of activities, compare with industry trends, and recommend and coordinate process improvements. You will coordinate employee engagement initiatives and drive operational efficiency to achieve desired results. This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.
Major Responsibilities:
- Plans and implements assigned project HR activities and programs; executes staffing initiatives, employee engagement, training and development, and visa management
- Models and instills the culture and organizational values within project
- Prepares offers and manages onboarding for staffing needs on project
- Independently manages onboarding and offboarding processes
- Aids in identifying training and development opportunities
- Provides guidance on policy interpretation and labor law
- Handles sensitive employee relations concerns and supports investigations
- Analyzes HR data and recommends adjustments to improve compliance or workforce planning
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a relevant bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- A strong understanding of UK employment law
- An interest in and understanding of best practice and innovation in Human Resources
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to satisfactorily pass a background check and drug and security screenings
- May be required to obtain site access or a UK security clearance
