The project scope includes planning, design, integration and delivery of major airfield infrastructure, buildings, systems and associated periphery infrastructure.
Job Summary: The Project Controls Manager applies project controls processes at project level, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across cost, schedule, risk and change management activities. The role supports effective performance monitoring and governance compliance. This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.
Major Responsibilities:
- Apply project controls processes across cost, schedule, risk, change, commercial and reporting disciplines
- Maintain project-level baselines and forecasts aligned with governance requirements
- Apply and support Earned Value Management (EVM) processes
- Maintain and update project schedules and cost plans
- Perform cost variance analysis and support financial control
- Maintain project risk and opportunity registers and support QSRA/QCRA compliance
- Support commercial management activities and cost forecasting
- Administer baseline and change control processes
- Prepare and issue project performance reports and KPIs
- Coordinate corrective action plans with delivery teams
- Support audits, data validation and governance compliance
- Maintain data integrity and support digital tools such as Power BI
- Support integration of statutory and DCO commitments into project controls
- Champion health, safety, environmental standards and inclusive behaviours
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience in project management, engineering or related discipline
- Typically 5+ years’ experience in a project controls role on infrastructure projects (£50m+)
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven ability to deliver accurate cost, schedule and performance reporting
- Proficiency in project controls systems (e.g. Primavera P6, SAP, Power BI; Anaplan desirable)
- Good understanding of governance, baseline and change control processes
- Experience supporting commercial processes and NEC contracts desirable
- Professional certification or working towards APM, PRINCE2 or similar desirable
