In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets. This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.
Major Responsibilities
- Input into constructability reviews to optimise construction sequencing, logistics, and methodology.
- Coordinate with engineering and design consultants to ensure construction requirements are reflected in design deliverables.
- Support the development of site layouts, temporary works strategies, logistics and phasing plans for construction in a live operational environment.
- Assist in developing overall construction execution plans, staffing strategies, and resource estimates.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain to develop construction packaging and delivery strategies.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental (HSE) considerations are embedded in all aspects of design and planning.
- Review and monitor implementation of robust quality control plans during design and construction phases.
- Maintain awareness of design evolution, scope changes, and their potential impacts on construction methods, costs, and schedules.
- Contribute to cost estimates, budgets, risk assessments, and progress reporting for construction scope.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to assigned project and field personnel, promoting a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence.
- Establish a design/field engineering working relationship and lines of communication with the Project Engineer including agreement on engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate with design on constructability issues.
- Review project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule.
- Ensure the Zero Accident Philosophy is incorporated into all aspects of construction operations.
- Lead any assigned Construction Management resource, support the development of any such assigned resource; maintain standards, manage, motivate, coach and mentor as required.
- Perform supervisory role to Field Engineers within the wider programme team.
- Review contractor Quality and Commissioning submittals (including Inspection).
