Job Summary: This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who can independently manage ER cases while also owning policy, compliance and operational HR processes. You will be trusted to deliver accurate HR guidance, maintain compliant systems and documentation, and support employees and managers across the UK and Europe. We are looking for someone who is confident, organised and legally knowledgeable, with the ability to balance hands-on administration with more complex advisory and compliance responsibilities.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Policy & Compliance: Draft, review and update HR policies for the UK and Europe, ensuring alignment with current legislation and internal governance. Ensure compliance with UK employment law, GDPR, immigration requirements and internal HR standards. Maintain audit-ready HR records, documentation and templates. Monitor employment law changes and lead communication of updates to managers and employees.
  • HR Operations & Mailbox Management: Manage the Group HR mailbox, providing accurate and timely responses using strong HR and employment law knowledge. Triage enquiries, resolve issues independently and escalate where necessary. Coordinate core HR processes such as maternity, paternity, flexible working and contract amendments, supported by the HR Apprentice. Maintain and improve HR trackers, templates and operational documentation.
  • Employee Relations: Manage ER cases independently, including sickness absence, investigations, performance management, low-to-medium complexity disciplinaries and grievances. Lead redundancy processes, including organising and running consultation meetings and preparing documentation. Ensure all ER activity is fully compliant with UK employment law and company policy, escalating high-risk matters appropriately.
  • Europe HR Support: Support policy updates, compliance checks and documentation across European offices. Collaborate with European HR stakeholders to ensure consistency and alignment with group policies.

Education and Experience Requirements: More than 3 years experience in a generalist HR role (e.g., HR Advisor, HR Officer) with significant ER responsibility. Proven track record of independently managing ER cases from start to finish, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance and redundancy. Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. Experience drafting or revising HR policies, procedures or compliance documentation. Excellent organisational skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready records. Comfortable delivering both hands-on HR administration and more complex advisory work. CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent practical experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills: Experience supporting HR activities across European jurisdictions. Knowledge of SAP, TalentWorks or similar HR information systems.
