We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer, Operator- Sliding Head to join our clients manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision components.
Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom plastic components. This position could suit a recently qualified apprentice with good hands-on engineering skills or an experienced engineer who would like to work within a small team.
The successful candidate must be a self-starter with the ability and motivation to work on their initiative, to produce precision parts working on our clients extensive range of up-to-date Citizen CNC machines. Plastic experience not necessary but some would be of advantage; training can be provided for the suitable candidate.
Working hours: 08:00 - 16:30 weekdays + overtime
Salary: dep on experience is from £35k to £44k per annum
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with CNC operation within a manufacturing environment.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to machining processes.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and technical specifications accurately.
- Mechanical engineering: 1 year (required)
- CNC turning: 1 year (required)
- Citizen CNC sliding head: 1 year (required)
