Please note a drug and alcohol test will be conducted on your first day of employment. I require a number of Steel Fabricators/Platers for a thriving company based in Bury, Greater Manchester. Day shift - £18.12 per hour plus plenty of overtime if required. Do you want to work a 4 day week? 7am to 4.45pm Mon to Thurs.
My client has won awards for their work and are highly regarded worldwide. Working on some iconic projects throughout the UK and other parts of the world. Now the opportunity is there for you to do the same and work on some of the biggest and best projects. You will enhance your skills, having pride knowing you are working on multi-million pound projects, challenging yourself each day working on complex fabrications.
As a Steel Fabricator, you will also be enhancing your skills, working with complex structures and plate thicknesses that you may never have fabricated before. Working from engineers' drawings and also the chance to learn total station. These Steel Fabricator positions are permanent long-term positions. It is exciting and rewarding work.
If you are a time served Plater/Steel Fabricator, apprentice trained / NVQ 3, please apply. Platers must be competent and confident in working from technical drawings, set jobs up, mark out for jigs, and be able to use hand tools and burning equipment. You should be comfortable working on your own or as part of a team. Heavy plate experience preferred.
These positions require you to adhere to all health & Safety practice at all times. Correct PPE must be worn at all times. Hours are 37 worked Monday to Thursday 7am to 4.45pm. Time and a half for extra hours in the week and Saturdays, double time for Sundays.
