We are looking for a Junior Quality Engineer to work for a large engineering company based in Dukinfield.
Salary is £30-32,000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, company bonus, pension, healthcare etc.
Duties for the Junior Quality Engineer role:
Working alongside experienced Quality Engineers, you will provide support across a range of quality activities to ensure products meet the required specifications and quality standards. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity with genuine career progression.
Key Responsibilities for the Junior Quality Engineer:
- Support the Quality Engineering team with day-to-day quality activities.
- Assist with product inspections and ensuring products meet specification requirements.
- Help maintain calibration records and quality documentation.
- Support the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Assist with general quality department administration.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and maintain high housekeeping standards.
Junior Quality Engineer (salary role, £30k to £32k - increasing after probation)
- Must be committed to working safely and comply with the 5S standards in place.
- Minimum 3 years' work experience required and must be within a manufacturing environment (preferably within a quality team)
- Ideal candidate will have an understanding of manufacturing quality functions (product conformance / calibration / specifications)
- Key process knowledge:
- Manufacturing principles from material to finished products
- Aerospace / defence high standards of work
- An understanding of a QMS / IMS
- General office / department administration
- This role is an entry level role with a view to moving up to a QE role. The candidate will be required to support other QE's carrying out a range of department tasks
