We are seeking a highly skilled Research Strategy Manager to support our research team in developing and implementing strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Centre's Director, Professor Oscar Marín, contributing to scientific and strategic decision-making and overseeing the academic profile.

A significant part of the role involves delivering funding priorities and supporting the development of grant applications for various research funders. The Research Strategy Manager will also oversee the operational aspects of a virtual centre focusing on identifying biological mechanisms underlying developmental brain disorders.

The role requires strong working relationships with individual academics in the Centre, providing visible funding development support, promoting opportunities, coordinating internal peer review systems, and drafting proposals for grants. Additionally, managing external communications for two centres including online presence, news collaboration, Press Office engagement, visitors coordination, mentoring tenure-track group leaders, and troubleshooting duties directed by the line manager.

The candidate will collaboratively attend meetings and may have occasional out-of-hours activities. Knowledge in neuroscience and biomedical disciplines is essential, along with equivalent experience in effectively communicating complex ideas in non-specialist language and preparation of presentations.
