We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Assistant to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and departmental reports.
The ideal candidate will have experience in an integrated accounting system and possess strong analytical skills. You should also be able to establish and maintain standard costs for internal services/products and externally sold products.
- Establishing standard costs regularly to reflect current cost structures
- Analysing labour cost data and assessing rates used in costing and overhead allocation
- Performing monthly variance analysis, comparing actual versus standard costs, reporting on factors impacting pricing and gross margin
In this role, you will also prepare month-end inventory reports for management review. Additionally, you will maintain balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
