Job Description:

  • As an HGV Class 1 Tramping Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight across the UK, often spending nights away from home.
  • This is a bay-to-bay delivery only role, with no manual handling required. All deliveries are drop-and-go, ensuring your safety and comfort.
  • You will be driving a modern, well-maintained fleet, and should be confident in basic navigation and journey planning.
  • In addition to following all road safety rules and company policies, you must also take regular rest breaks and adhere to driving hours regulations.
  • It is essential to carry out daily checks on your vehicle and report any issues promptly.
  • We utilize SNAP accounts and fuel cards to simplify transactions on the road.
  • Consistent work is guaranteed, with five consecutive tramping shifts scheduled from Sunday to Friday.

Key Requirements:

  • Full UK C+E License (Class 1): You must hold a valid Class 1 license to operate articulated vehicles.
  • Minimum 2 years of HGV experience: We seek drivers who are confident on UK roads and understand industry expectations.
  • Clean license preferred: We accept up to 6 points, but no serious endorsements such as TT (disqualification), DR (drink driving), or IN (insurance offenses).
  • Fluency in English Language (preferred)
  • UK road law knowledge: Understanding the Highway Code, rest break rules, and HGV-specific regulations.
  • Right to work in the UK: You must have valid documents confirming your eligibility.
  • Safety first – all drivers must pass pre-employment screening (drug and alcohol test, background check).
