Thames Water is seeking a skilled Process Technician to join their team at Wheatley Sewage Treatment Works. As part of this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the essential functions of the sewage treatment works operate efficiently and effectively. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with no background in the waste or water industry to bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the table.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled planned maintenance work on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Operate and clean plant and equipment to ensure on-site operational and health and safety standards are maintained.
- Attend reactive jobs following plant and equipment failure.
- Maintain site cleanliness, conduct safety checks, and perform daily site checks to ensure compliant operation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A self-motivated individual who can immerse themselves into the team around them.
- Take ownership responding quickly to faults and fully understanding problems to resolve them first time.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, interacting well with the team.
- Good teamwork and being proactive in taking the lead on recommendations for improvements.
- Must have prepared to be trained in safety procedures and have knowledge and awareness of health and safety standards.
