This role presents an exceptional opportunity to make a tangible difference in the community and be at the forefront of delivering our vision. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining custody and order while facilitating opportunities for those in our care. This includes influencing offenders to maintain contact with their families, accessing education and training, and ultimately assisting them on their journey to becoming contributory citizens within our communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining security by screening, searching, and facilitating entry and exit of individuals from the establishment.
  • Observing and supervising visits as well as being a key point of contact for family support.
  • Monitoring security systems including closed circuit television alarm systems communication systems ensuring safety for everyone within the establishment.
  • Demonstrating strong teamwork and effective communication skills.
  • Responding to situations and emerging difficulties, confidently addressing deviations from standard procedures and processes.
  • Engaging proactively and ethically, professionally following instructions and procedural requirements.
  • Adapting effectively and promoting ethical values guiding decisions.
  • Fostering a positive environment that motivates teamwork and integration, underpinning the corporate vision.
  • Upholding established high expectations for achievement and sustaining organisational wellbeing, health, and resilience.
