This role will sit within our Maintaining Relationships Team to support adoption and supporting relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support proactive planning and review of Keeping In Touch plans, including providing advice, guidance, and training to colleagues and external professionals.
  • Conduct reviews alongside adopted young people, adoptive parents, and birth relatives.
  • Facilitate positive Keeping In Touch arrangements through direct and indirect methods.
  • Attend/support families to communicate effectively and enjoy time together.
  • Support birth relatives in understanding adoption processes where a plan may have been made for their child by a local authority.
  • Support engagement in life story work by meeting with the adoptive family and signposting relevant support where wanted.
