Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. As a Tramper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods across the UK.This is a full-time position with a competitive salary, including a night out allowance.Responsibilities:Safely operate and manoeuvre an HGV Class 1 vehicle in compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.Transport goods and materials between specified locations, adhering to delivery schedules and deadlines.Conduct pre-use and post-use inspections of the vehicle and/or trailer to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance issues promptly.Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked in compliance with legal and company requirements.Adhere to all relevant health and safety guidelines, ensuring the safety of yourself and others at all times.Communicate effectively with management, dispatchers, customers, and colleagues to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.Utilize navigation systems and maps to plan efficient routes and minimize fuel consumption.Adhere to driving regulations regarding rest periods and maximum driving hours, prioritizing safety and compliance.Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with clients and members of the public.Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.Requirements:Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).Digital Tachograph Card.Minimum of one years\’ experience as an HGV Class 1 driver.Excellent driving record with no more than 6 points on your licence.Strong knowledge of UK road regulations and driving laws.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and self-motivation.Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.Physically fit and able to handle the demands of long-haul driving, including lifting and moving heavy loads.Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required by the business.Benefits:Competitive salary, including a night out allowance.Pension scheme and other benefits package.Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.Supportive and inclusive work environment.
