The ideal candidate will be an experienced multi-skilled shift engineer responsible for undertaking planned and reactive maintenance of all site production, process & packaging machinery and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular and responsive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Electrical and mechanical fault detection, troubleshooting, and repair services
- PLC-based electrical fault finding capabilities
- Installation, commissioning, and modification of new equipment to meet business needs
- Collaborate with internal teams to achieve seamless operational handovers and spares management
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and manage contractor engagement
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- A multi-skilled engineer with a strong background in electrical and mechanical disciplines
- Completion of a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering, preferably with HNC/HND certification
- Proven experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments, with excellent electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
- PLC-based electrical fault finding capabilities and team collaboration skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
