We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused Mailing Officer to join our team at HMP & YOI Stirling.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail, including Royal Mail deliveries, internal mail, and email-a-prisoner correspondence. They will also be required to secondary scan mail through the X-Ray machine, sort and distribute it accordingly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting all mail delivered to the establishment from the Front of House area and transporting it safely to designated secure areas.
- Correctly counting, identifying, and sorting all mail into relevant categories, i.e. confidential, general, and damaged.
- Accurately counting and safeguarding Royal Mail Special and re-ordered delivery mail.
