We are seeking a reliable and proactive Premises Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our school site. This is an ideal role for an experienced caretaker or facilities professional looking for a varied and rewarding position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain buildings, grounds, and facilities to a high standard.
- Carry out minor repairs, decorating, and general site duties.
- Oversee heating, utilities, drains, lighting, and external areas.
- Act as key holder opening/closing the site in response to alarms ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain accurate records, inventories, risk assessments, and logs.
- Supervise cleaning staff, trainees, and support workers.
- Manage cleaning schedules and rotas.
- Monitor contractor performance.
- Support school lettings, deliveries, and stock control.
- Portering and attending meetings.
- Assisting maintenance planning and budgeting.
Required Experience:
- Caretaking and maintenance management.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Literacy and numeracy.
- Full UK driving license.
