We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to drive forward the work of the Portsmouth Education Partnership. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in educational transformation, with experience of delivering success in complex and challenging environments. They will be able to demonstrate exceptional influencing, negotiating and collaborative skills, with a proven ability to build partnerships and achieve outcomes through effective communication.

Our new three-year strategy is currently underway, focusing on seven key priorities. We require an Independent Chair who can champion our vision for inclusive education, ensuring that all schools have access to support systems. The successful applicant must be comfortable working independently but also as part of a team.

The role involves chairing regular meetings with officers from the council and other partners. They must ensure strategic alignment across different areas within the city's education sector while promoting collaboration between stakeholders including Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs), local authorities, DFE, regional offices, etc.
