We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of off-grid electrical systems and proficiency in SolidWorks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks, ensuring accurate representation of components and designs.
- Evaluate proprietary components for performance and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize designs for cost, assembly, manufacturing efficiency, power analysis, solar yield assessments, battery sizing, and reliable off-grid performance.
- Component sourcing, technical drawings, BOMs, cut lists, design manufacture integration documentation, maintenance, continuous improvement, and business enhancement.
- Problem-solving skills and understanding of electrical systems, fabrication techniques, metal, steel panels, and composite materials.
- Education background in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Experience designing buildings, shelters, vehicles, and enclosures.
- Ability to interpret and create electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with DC wiring and low voltage regulation.
