Key Role in Data Transformation
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in the transformation of our data capability, ensuring that the company's data strategy is robust, scalable and aligned with business objectives. This hybrid position combines working from home with spending 1-2 days per week in our Halifax office. The ideal candidate will be able to drive technical solutions while supporting Data Engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the Databricks technical roadmap and support Data Engineering teams by providing expertise across various technologies and systems.
Skills Required:
- Literate knowledge of data analysis modelling;
- Strong commercial awareness skills & solid background;
- Graph databases or similar technologies.
- Real-world experience necessary: cloud architectures - preferably both Azure & AWS;
- Profound understanding of relational databases / unstructured structured Data Lakes/Lakehouse Architectures - new database technologies.
