We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Composite Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design of F1 car composite parts, from layout studies to patterns, moulds, tools and jigs. You will undertake studies and schemes based on aerodynamic information and car layout guidelines provided by your line manager.
The successful candidate will ensure designs are released on target, meeting agreed specifications. You will also design and detail specification of various composite components such as front and rear wings, chassis & impact structures, bodywork etc. Covering reliability needs for designed parts in collaboration with related departments including materials production R&D teams is crucial.
Maintaining effective communication with own teams as well as other departments concerned is key. You must contribute to car performance with ideas for improvement highlighting potential issues seen.
