We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to support foster parents in achieving outstanding outcomes for children and young people. As a Senior Social Worker, you will work closely with our team to ensure the continued suitability and competence of Foster parents, providing regular supervision and guidance.
Duties:
- Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for all children and young people in foster care.
- Monitor the continued suitability and competence of foster parents ensuring they provide a safe, healthy, nurturing and learning environment for children/young people.
- Ensure each child and foster parent are fully compliant in respect of all key documentation.
- Support carers to fully understand the fostering task competencies to be achieved as well as standards expected including complaints procedures.
- Work in partnership with family members or designated care-givers on an agreed contact arrangement ensuring the child’s network contributes towards decisions made regarding placement needs.
