At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Mechanical Fitter at our Rosyth site. We're looking for several Mechanical Fitters to join the team that is at the forefront of supporting the production of the Type 31 Frigate / Inspiration class of warships.

Type 31 will be at the heart of the Royal Navy’s surface fleet, deterring aggression and maintaining the security of the UK’s interests. They will work alongside the UK’s Allies to deliver a warship presence across the globe and enable a forward naval presence.

The role As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. If you can bring technical skills and a safe working attitude, then we can provide you with one of the most exciting engineering projects this country has to offer. Carrying-out planned installations, maintenance and removals of temporary and fixed mechanical systems and equipment to support the build, assembly and outfitting of Naval Platforms.

Day-to-day, you’ll help with the general Equipment Installation, Basic Milling and Drilling Operations, Equipment and System Testing, Hydraulic/Pneumatic System experience. You will also help with the Interpretation.
