Job Summary
As a Regulatory Intelligence Product Owner your core responsibility is to develop and deliver a data strategy and data products supporting Beazley’s regulatory reporting. This requires a strong understanding of insurance requirements for Lloyd’s, the PCA, the CBI, among other reporting agencies. You will work with key Compliance leaders and stakeholders to develop the strategy and your team to document and deliver data products that are accurate and timely.

Your role will be essential to our transformation into a digital company to meet our ambitious growth plans. As a Product Owner focused on Compliance data, you will be responsible for a portfolio of data products supporting our business. You will work with business stakeholders to understand data needs, prioritize development, and create a roadmap of iterative deliveries of data products on our legacy and Modern Data Platforms. You will lead the transition to operationalize our data, leading to greater efficiency, higher quality data and better business insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic leader in our data management organization, driving the data product strategy and delivery of data supporting regulatory submissions, such as: Eligible Complainants, Conduct Risk, ELTO, PMDR, RRQ, among others.
- Own a portfolio of data products and create a roadmap for iterative delivery of automated reports and enhancements.
- Advise the business on best practices and challenge existing structures with regards to systems and processes on any project with a link to data.
- Manage stakeholders through the report development lifecycle including requirements gathering, updates and expectation management, user testing, sign off and roll-out.
- Lead and inspire a team of business analysts and a factory squad to delivery data reports to your stakeholders.
- Design and build reports using sophisticated visualisation tools that optimise and enhance business reporting and intelligence across Beazley and support our teams to deliver enhanced outcomes.
- Collate, prepare and submit data for regulatory reporting, analysing the data to find conclusions.
- Identify and deliver improved and alternative ways of reporting, e.g. outsourcing, automation, increased self-serve, and analytical tools.
- Work in collaboration with other Product Owners / Capability Leads, within the Platform and across Platforms, to maximise alignment and data reuse.
- Support the Data Value Management team in implementing best practises in Data Governance and Quality.Drive the required level of data ownership and stewardship across your group of data products.
- Provide leadership, direction, development and support to direct reports (including off-shore resources)
Personal Specification
We’re looking for candidates with experience building regulatory reports for the Insurance industry. The successful candidate should have experience with the Lloyd’s market and/or the Central Bank of Ireland. Candidates should be able to demonstrate technical data skills including data analysis and visualization skills. The successful candidate should have a passion for data and a curious mindset both for Beazley and the wider insurance industry. Great communication skills across all levels of seniority and the ability to represent Data to our colleagues, clients and regulators.
Education and Qualifications
- Degree level educated – any discipline, or a proven level of experience within this role.
- Product Owner certifications preferable.

Essential Criteria
- Proven experience developing data regulatory reports in the insurance industry, preferably the London Market.
- Leadership experience with proven ability to inspire, manage and coach teams.
- Highly responsible, with the ability to quickly establish trust and credibility.
- Product Management, Ownership, or Business Analyst experience developing and building a data strategy, roadmap and data products to meet stakeholder needs.
- Ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets.
- Proven demonstration of problem solving.
- Use of various analysis and project management tools covering scope definition, requirements documentation and progress reporting, including Jira and Confluence.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Power BI.
- Knowledge of SQL and Python.
- Knowledge of Data Quality tools would be advantageous.
- Experience creating data visualisations or infographics and being able to demonstrate value through visualisation.
