GeneralJob Title: Exposure Management -European Commercial Property (ECP) Senior Catastrophe Analyst Division: Exposure Management, General ManagementReports To: Exposure Management Lead AnalystKey Relationships: Exposure Management, ECP Underwriters, Property Underwriting and Claims Operations (UCO), Ceded Reinsurance, IT, other support functions. Job Summary: To provide Exposure Management Natural Catastrophe Expertise for the European Commercial Property (ECP) division within Property Risks, supporting Catastrophe Modelling Quoting, Bound risk entry and monthly portfolio roundup.Key Responsibilities:Enter location & policy data including perils, sub-limits and deductibles into Moody’s (ex RMS) Intelligent Risk PlatformEnsure data quality for ECP, through formal entry Quality Control process and monthly Quality Control checks.Ensure consistency between data in the underwriting system and Exposure Management data.Ensure monthly entry/reporting deadlines for ECP Catastrophe Modelling are met.Ensure ECP quotes are completed in a timely manner.Responsible for monitoring external data cleansing service provider usage.Complete Exposure Management ECP monthly modelling output.Production of regular and ad hoc management information for presentation or distribution to the ECP underwriting team.Update and monitor monthly Natural Catastrophe output such as Nat Cat modelled losses and Realistic Disaster Scenarios (RDS’s) and aggregationsSupport the underwriting risk assessment process.Provide data to underwriters to assist in portfolio optimisation.Other responsibilities:Prepare and provide statistics and information in order to serve the requirements of underwriters and clients.Respond to client queries in an accurate and timely fashion to develop the brand image of Beazley.Liaise with external data input clerks and respective underwriters.Provide a professional service to underwriters and UCO in person, by email and on the telephone.Produce ad hoc reports for the underwriters and other members of staff when requested.Personal Specification:Education and QualificationsDegree in any disciplineSkills and AbilitiesAccurate and numerate with attention to detailStrong computer skills – Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Experience using RMS RiskLink and/or Moody’s (ex RMS) Intelligent Risk PlatformExperience using SQL Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writingAbility to manage own time and prioritise workAbility to be fluent in French Preference for additional foreign language skills (German, Spanish)Knowledge and ExperienceStrong working industry knowledge, Property Excess and Surplus lines preferable Knowledge of Catastrophe modelling & data requirementsKnowledge of RMS European Natural Catastrophe modelsAptitude and DispositionSelf-motivatedFlexible and enthusiasticCompetenciesAccuracyInformation SeekingSpeed and QualityTeam WorkTime Management
