Job Summary: Assist Beazley in ensuring robust Operational Resilience and Business Continuity (Business Resilience) practices and recovery capabilities are maintained across all regions, platforms, and entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and ongoing review of Operational Resilience and Business Continuity regulatory requirements and practices, ensuring alignment with the Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Managers’ strategic direction.
- Map processes supporting Beazley’s Critical or Important Functions / Important Business Services, identifying all relevant resources (technology, data, people, facilities, third-parties).
- Assist with scenario testing and lead workshops to review and document resilience and recovery options for ‘severe, but plausible’ operational disruption scenarios.
- Maintain the Operational Resilience and Business Continuity database and prepare management information for internal committees.
- Undertake reviews of Beazley’s key third-party suppliers, vendors and outsource providers to ensure that Operational Resilience and Business Continuity controls are in place and requirements are being met.
- Work with the Procurement team to ensure the appropriate Third-Party Risk Management controls and measures are available to manage contracts and material outsource/supplier questionnaires.
- Support Beazley change functions to embed Operational Resilience and Business Continuity requirements in projects, programmes, processes, and systems.
- Work with the Chief Information Security Officer and Information Technology teams to ensure alignment with Beazley’s Technology & Cyber Resilience strategies.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with department heads and service owners.
- Assist with other operational, financial, business recovery, and resilience matters as required.

Personal Specification:
Essential Criteria:
- Degree level educated, or equivalent work experience (1 to 5 years)
- Knowledgeable and conversant with the principles set out in Operational Resilience and Business Continuity regulations and their implications for Beazley.
- Strong analytical mindset and literacy with process mapping and gap analysis techniques.
Education and Qualifications:
Essential: Degree level educated, or equivalent work experience (1 to 5 years)
Desirable: Appropriate professional qualifications or certifications such as:
- UK: Certification from the Business Continuity Institute (e.g. CBCI, MBCI or FBCI)
- US: Certification from the Disaster Recovery Institute (e.g. CBCP, MBCP or CFCP)
- UK: Institute of Risk Management Certificate or Diploma in Operational Risk or Operational Resilience.
- US: RIMS Certified Risk Management Professional.
- ISO 22301 Certified Business Continuity Professional, Lead Implementer, Lead Auditor.
- ITIL Foundation.
Skills and Abilities:

- Understanding of regulatory requirements in the UK, US, and globally.
