Job Title: Accounts Receivable Analyst – 12 Month FTC Division: Finance Operations – Credit Control It is not a prerequisite to have prior experience in credit control. Those working in alternative areas with a background in insurance are welcome to apply. Experience as an Underwriting Technician, Analyst, Bordereaux Technician, Underwriting Operations Analyst, Claims Support Technician, Claims Operations Technician, or similar roles would transfer well into this position. Reports To: Assistant Credit Control Manager Key Relationships: Internal: Underwriting, Claims, Finance, UK & RoW Operations teams, Digital Operations teams, Digital Services Team, IT, Agresso Support, AR Support team, and Broker Relations; External: Brokers, 3rd Party service providers, and external credit controllers Job Summary: Ownership of open debt, collections, and cash allocation including: Daily credit control processing Business partnering with operations underwriting and business teams Managing relationships with brokers, underwriting, and the business Daily data validation, reconciliation, and analysis Monthly processing, controls, and reporting Monthly reconciliations / financial accounting Continuous improvement of the credit control function General Responsibilities: Develop strong relationships with brokers and key stakeholders across the Group Adopt Beazley\’s culture of professionalism, integrity, effectiveness, and a dynamic attitude Comply with Beazley\’s procedures, policies, and regulations relevant to your role Undertake relevant training on Beazley\’s policies and procedures Uphold the Beazley principle of Treating Customers Fairly and Conduct Carry out additional responsibilities as notified by your line manager or relevant teams Discipline members of staff contravening regulations per staff handbook Key Responsibilities: Daily credit control technical processing: Debt collection activities in line with Beazley\’s strategies Allocation of daily and legacy unallocated cash against open debt items Supporting cash allocation by chasing brokers and underwriters for missing details Optimizing auto cash allocation through root cause analysis Facilitating direct debit collections, rejections, and reconciliation Escalating open items for cancellation Calculation and preparation of refunds, commissions, and legal fees Operating within the credit control financial control framework Business partnering with operations, underwriting, and business teams Proactive debt management Providing finance insights on collections and cash activity Reporting on aged debt, unallocated cash, and collection patterns Aligning operational and financial metrics Supporting product implementations and system developments Identifying data quality issues and customer pain points Collaborating with Broker relations to improve broker experience Managing relationships with brokers, underwriters, and the business Resolving account queries and managing payment queries Providing professional service to external partners Monthly aged debt summaries for renewals Data validation, reconciliation, and analysis of premium data Reconciling bank data to systems Managing internal transfer and payment processes Analyzing cash collection and allocation trends Monthly processing, controls, and reporting on cash and debt Supporting debt recoverability reviews and monthly reconciliations Ensuring process documentation and proposing improvements Supporting UAT and new system functionality Personal Specification: Education and Qualifications: General accounting knowledge desirable Educated to A level or equivalent CICM/AAT/ACCA/CIMA qualifications advantageous but not essential Skills and Abilities: Time management and prioritization skills Advanced analytical and data manipulation skills Data review, validation, and reconciliation skills Strong accounting and finance control skills Effective presentation skills Ability to interrogate underwriting and finance systems Attention to detail and accuracy Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated with problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and interact at all levels Strong computer skills; fluency in French desirable but not essential Knowledge and Experience: Experience in credit control collections and cash allocations desirable Experience in process/system improvement in finance preferred Lloyds/general insurance experience advantageous Knowledge of Xchanging processes and underwriting systems beneficial Familiarity with accounting principles Advanced Excel skills Experience with FIS GetPaid, GoCardless, Agresso, MyBeazley, or similar systems advantageous Aptitude and Disposition: Outcome-focused, self-motivated, enthusiastic Professional approach in internal and external interactions Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude Ability to engage with individuals at all levels Core Competencies: Concern for quality, relationship building, teamwork, communication, attention to detail, initiative, business awareness, advocacy for change, problem-solving #J-18808-Ljbffr
