We are looking for an experienced Painter and Decorator to perform detailed decorative works across our 470-acre Estate, which includes a Grade II listed building. We're looking for someone who has great attention to detail and understands what it is to be part of a busy team. Every day brings a different challenge and learning experience at Beaverbrook, so you must be keen, flexible and willing to work as part of a team. You will come into contact with guests and members so you must be professional in approach and appearance.

The Role

  • Providing a high standard of painting and decorating on all projects, including external areas, guest bedrooms and communal areas.
  • Measuring, cutting, and fitting wallpaper with expert precision.
  • Using flex keeping to ensure all ad-hoc tasks are completed on time, updating logbooks and job sheets.
  • Assisting with planned preventative maintenance to ensure our property remains in pristine condition.
  • Remaining professional at all times, to uphold five-star standards of service.
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed in line with our health and safety standards.

The Person

  • A natural team player, with the ability to work well on their own.
  • Qualified in painting and decorating, with an NVQ Level 2/3 or with equivalent experience.
  • Excellent timekeeping skills, with the ability to work to a set schedule to deliver works by their agreed timeframes.
  • A positive and proactive individual, with experience in a customer facing role.
  • Experience within the hospitality industry would be ideal.

Shift Pattern

This position will consist of 40 hours per week. The shift pattern for this position will typically consist of 07:00-15:00 or 08:00-16:30, Monday-Friday. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work nights and weekends, in line with business needs.

Salary: up to 35,400 per annum, inclusive of tronc
