Beautylish, Inc. is a fast-growing, founder-led consumer brand company in the beauty/personal goods space, selling across DTC, Amazon, and major retailers. With warehouse locations in California and Pennsylvania in the US and in Hong Kong, we’re excited to open our first UK facility in Trafford Park this fall. We’re seeking a driven and forward-thinking Warehouse Operations Manager to found our UK team and help us take off running.

The ideal candidate is comfortable and confident working in an unestablished and changing environment as we grow, will bring operational experience to efficiently set up an effective warehouse and logistics operation, and can offer guidance on the local workforce and administration. This role will evolve as the new facility is established and grows, with opportunity for career development.

Responsibilities

  • In the initial 3–6 months, set up the facility for operation, determine warehouse layout, set up pallet racking, obtain equipment, source vendors/suppliers, and coordinate with local agencies for permits to create a fully functioning fulfillment center.
  • Receive initial inventory and organize shipments; establish communication and replenishment processes with internal partners.
  • Develop and document SOPs and 5S practices to standardize processes and train future hires; maintain an organized and efficient facility.
  • Start outbound shipping in collaboration with internal partners and carriers, ensuring high standards in turnaround, packaging, and accuracy.
  • Hire the first team members with People Ops, create a replicable training plan, and ensure the team can grow to meet business needs while remaining hands-on in daily operations.
  • Long-term responsibilities include acting as primary point of contact and decision maker for shipping logistics at the location; managing daily execution of the order fulfillment process, setting goals, monitoring KPIs, and delegating tasks; supervising inventory organization, inbound shipments, backstock mapping, cycle counts, and FIFO; conducting daily stand-up meetings, providing ongoing feedback, and resolving performance issues; maintaining operational budget (supplies, labor, equipment) and providing regular reporting; ensuring a clean, safe, and secure facility and fostering a positive work environment; meeting regularly with Global Operations Manager and COO to discuss data/reporting and long-term strategy.

General Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a small goods environment
  • Technology acumen with familiarity of WMS; ability to troubleshoot basic IT and learn custom/internal platforms
  • Standard hours anticipated 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, with some flexibility
  • Experience/licensed for Reach Truck, Fork Lift, Powered Pedestrian Truck
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements within warehousing; IOSH qualification a plus
  • Right to Work in the UK
