The Mission
Move fast and break nothing.
The Engineering team’s mission is bold and clear: To build a technology ecosystem that serves as a "poster-child" for how enterprise businesses leverage the Shopify ecosystem to achieve exceptional results with agility, speed, and efficiency.
This means deploying code multiple times a day.
To do this safely, we need a robust, automated safety net.
This is a new role in our structure, and is critical to the success of our Technology function.
You will be the guardian of quality for our Engineering.
This is a hands-on engineering role: you will write scripts, build frameworks, and integrate testing into our CI/CD pipelines.
You will work across the Engineering squads, ensuring that our Shopify storefront, i OS App, and i Paa S middleware integration points are rigorously tested.
You will deliver a fully automated, continuous testing model.
- Job Requirements
- Technical Skills: 3+ years of experience in QA across ecomm and app.
- Tooling: Hands-on experience with modern automation tools

- Mindset: You have a detective’s eye for detail and a developer’s mindset for solutions.
- Job Responsibilities

- Automate critical "happy paths" (Sign-up, Checkout, Add to Cart) and complex edge cases involving our Membership tiers and contextual pricing.
- Integration & API Testing
- Develop automated tests for our API layer and middleware. Verify that data payloads sent from Shopify are correctly processed by our i Paa S and received by our ERP.
- Validate webhooks and event triggers to ensure our "real-time" architecture is reliable
- CI/CD Pipeline Integration
- Embed your automated tests into our deployment pipelines. Ensure that no code reaches production without passing your suite of checks.
- Working with Engineers to catch bugs early in the development lifecycle.
- Observability & Monitoring
- Implement synthetic monitoring to proactively check the health of our live site and app and to alert us to issues before our customers do.
- Our Ambition
- In a best-in-class Shopify environment, QA is an accelerator, not a bottleneck.
Your automation will provide the confidence required to release features rapidly, embodying our culture of "bias for action" and "intelligent rebellion".
Why join us?
You will be the first dedicated QA Engineer in our new structure, giving you the autonomy to define our testing strategy and tooling from scratch.
