London Full-Time No working from home possible

Description

Beauty Pie has a lot worth talking about. We’re looking for someone brilliant at getting people talking about it.
Reporting to the Marketing Operations Director, our Head of Communications will lead Beauty Pie’s UK communications strategy across PR, influencers, collaborations and affiliates, building the brand with a focus on delivering meaningful commercial growth.

This is a senior role with real ownership. You’ll be as comfortable building relationships with the UK’s most influential beauty editors as you are spotting the next creator we should know about, interrogating affiliate performance or negotiating a partnership that delivers for both the brand and the business.

Working closely with the Marketing Operations Director, Founder and teams across Marketing, you’ll decide where Beauty Pie should show up, who we should be talking to and what’s worth trying next. You’ll bring the strategic thinking and technical know-how to make that happen, plus enough curiosity to question whether there might be a better way of doing it.

Because in communications, there usually is.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract. Full-time is preferred, but we’re open to reduced or flexible working for the right person.

Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience in Communications, with a track record of building brands and delivering commercial results.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach and a genuine appetite for ownership. You can set the direction, make the case for it and get into the detail when required.
  • Strong, established relationships across UK media, particularly with the editors, journalists and titles that shape beauty and consumer conversations.
  • Proven experience leading influencer strategy across macro, mid and micro creators, with a clear point of view on who makes sense for a brand, who doesn’t, and how to measure the difference.
  • Affiliate experience and a strong understanding of how the channel contributes to acquisition, revenue and growth.
  • Experience working closely with and advising a Founder, with the confidence and judgement that requires.
  • Strong agency management experience, including briefing, budget ownership and negotiation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. This is Communications, after all.
  • The ability to think strategically without developing a mysterious allergy to actually doing things.
  • Confidence working at pace, making good decisions when several things require your attention at once and keeping standards high when deadlines are tight.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, paired with enough perspective to know which details really matter.
  • Line management experience and a collaborative, hands-on coaching style. You set a high bar, help people reach it and give them the space to become better at what they do.
