You will provide high-quality services within your qualifications and experience, carry out thorough consultations and build lasting relationships with clients.
This role suits someone who takes pride in their work, communicates warmly and can manage appointments independently while contributing to the smooth running of a small salon.
Carry out consultations covering the client’s preferences, hair condition, previous treatments and realistic maintenance requirements.
Deliver ladies’ cutting, restyling, blow-drying and finishing services.
Provide colouring services within your competence, including root applications, full-head colour, highlights and toning.
Offer balayage, colour correction, occasion styling or other advanced services where appropriately trained and experienced.
Follow manufacturer instructions and salon procedures for allergy alert testing, strand testing and chemical services.
Recommend suitable treatments and home-care routines.
Brows and lashes — for brow and lash applicants
Consult with clients about their preferred look, previous treatments and suitability for the service.
Provide brow shaping through threading, waxing or tweezing, according to your training.
Deliver brow tinting, brow lamination, lash lifting and lash tinting where qualified.
Apply, maintain and safely remove lash extensions where appropriately qualified and experienced.
Follow the relevant consultation, patch-testing, hygiene and product procedures.
Explain aftercare clearly, including maintenance appointments and protecting natural lashes and brows.
Beauty therapy — for beauty therapist applicants
Deliver agreed salon treatments within your qualifications, such as waxing, facials or massage.
Identify contraindications and adapt, postpone or decline treatments when appropriate.
Maintain client comfort, privacy and dignity throughout appointments.
Provide clear treatment explanations and suitable aftercare advice.

Maintain accurate consultation notes, treatment records and relevant consent documentation.
Keep tools, equipment, workstations and treatment areas clean and ready for use.
Manage appointment timings carefully and communicate any delays.
Support bookings, enquiries, payments and rebooking.
Recommend appropriate services and products without pressuring clients.
Monitor stock and inform the salon owner when supplies need replenishing.
Handle client concerns professionally and escalate them when necessary.
Support salon content by taking photographs of your work only with appropriate client consent.
Work cooperatively with colleagues and maintain a welcoming salon environment.
