Job Description
As People Advisor/Administrator you will work with the Head of People to provide a first class admin and advisor service to colleagues at Beauty Bay.
First and foremost, you will be a great administrator. Organised, great attention to detail and confident managing a varied workload which includes some office/facilities management responsibilities. You will ideally have previous experience working in a busy HR team or similar and must have a flexible can-do attitude.
A priority will be for you to manage all of the day-to-day HR administration. You will look after employees from Day 1, respond to manager and employee questions about policy, get involved in Employee Relations issues as well as new HR projects and initiatives. This role is a great opportunity to build and develop your existing HR knowledge and start to step up into a standalone People Advisor role.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all HR admin including offers/contracts, on-boarding, exit and in-life changes
- Manage monthly payroll reporting, ensuring our external payroll provider receives accurate monthly payroll information
- Set up and administer employee benefits including carrying out maternity interviews and maintaining contact with colleagues while off on maternity leave
- Some office support responsibilities
- Organise company induction and onboarding process for new starters
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in our HR systems – ensuring employee records are maintained in line with GDPR requirements
- Produce and monitor monthly HR KPI’s and metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements
- Assist in researching, maintaining and update HR policies
- Providing basis HR guidance and advice to BEAUTY BAY employees and managers (i.e. policy, best practice, benefits, sickness, time off, payroll, maternity/paternity)
- Produce and monitor monthly HR KPI’s and metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements (absence, turnover, LOS)
- Organise social and wellbeing events
- Own day to day responsibility for office Health & Safety – booking first aid and fire training, carrying out regular office risk assessments, maintaining first aid supplies etc
- Provide general facilities support; booking car parking, arranging office supplies, liaising with our warehouse on returns etc
Skills and Experience
- Previous admin experience in either a HR, payroll or admin role in fast-paced, people centric business where best practice and modern HR practices are in place
- Enjoys identifying improvements, making recommendations and implement change
- Very organised and able to prioritise own workload
- Used to meeting deadlines and getting back to people in a timely manner
- Communicates with confidence
- Has a keen eye for detail and takes responsibility for ensuring information which is shared is accurate and tells a clear story
- Confident user of MS Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
- Confident user of HR system ideally People HR
- Flexible, team player who is happy to be mostly office based with the option to work from home on a Friday
- CIPD not essential experience is more a must
