Our New Product Development Team (NPD) work alongside & collaborate cross functionally across the BEAUTY BAY business to create & develop a fantastic & game changing variety of BEAUTY BAY Own Brand products & offering. BY BEAUTY BAY’s NPD Team look for gaps in the market, emerging & ever-changing trends & ideas to ensure our product offering remains at the forefront of innovation whilst ensuring we are the disruptors of the Beauty industry & cementing our place as the ultimate number 1 global destination for the beauty obsessed!

Responsibilities
- Driving & managing cross categories from concept through to launch including NPD pipeline
- Preparing and presenting robust business cases for tracking through commercial stage gate process in line with commercial metrics
- Define & agree key success criteria to enable handover from development to execution in other teams (brand, design, distribution etc).
- Present key trends, products, categories & ideas to the wider business & stakeholders.
- Managing/liaising with external suppliers, manufacturers & labs with the ability to influence when needed
- Compliance management & approval, including proof reading artwork for technical compliance.
- Consult & inform key stakeholders throughout the product development process, e.g. product bible/fact sheet creation & management.
- Industry research & analysis, including competitor analysis & benchmarking.
- Identify gaps in the market for new products/trends.
- Sample testing coordination to collate feedback..
About you
- Experience within a similar/previous NPD role is essential (3 years+).
- Detailed & enhance knowledge & experience within beauty product development is essential.
- Strong knowledge & understanding of colour cosmetic formulations & technology.
- Experience in deadline driven environments with the ability to multi-task & remain calm under pressure.
- Strong understanding of industry standards as well as EU/US regulatory compliance & claims substantiation standards.
- Exceptional project management skills as well as highly organised, effective prioritisation & structured.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions & recommendations coupled with sound planning & persistent execution.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to build excellent relationships & work productively cross-functionally.
- Have the ability to adapt & pivot to ever changing business needs as & when required by the business.
- Extensive experience working with global suppliers & manufacturers is essential.
- Ability to self-motivate & self-start as well as have the ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team with a keen passion for all things Beauty & Cosmetics.
