We have an exciting opportunity for an Optometrist at a private hospital in the Bristol area. The role is full‑time, working between the client’s two hospitals with the main hours Monday‑Friday, with a possibility of Saturday work and an on‑call rota.

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting to the Outpatients Manager, you will be part of a small, forward‑looking department with the latest ophthalmic equipment, including the IOL Master 700 and the latest edition Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer. Specialist areas offered include cataract surgery pathways, age‑related macular degeneration assessment and treatment pathways, and an oculoplastic pathway. This role is ideal for someone keen to develop their skills by working alongside experienced Ophthalmic Consultants to deliver an outstanding cataract service for patients.

What we’re looking for in you:

• GOC registered Optometrist.
• Experience in pre‑and post‑assessment of patients referred for refractive surgery.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic surgical care provision and ophthalmic disease.
• Ability to independently prescribe and deliver first appointments on a cataract pathway.
