Are you a skilled maintenance Electrician looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a respected contractor? Are you a qualified and experienced Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent, a valid Gold Card and 18th Edition? Do you have experience maintaining and repairing emergency lighting, street lighting, festive lighting, fire alarms, access control systems, solar panels, EV charging points, or similar electrical systems found in commercial buildings? If so, read on.

We are looking for experienced Electrical Engineers and Electricians to join our established team with our client's long-established business that is growing at pace. This is a permanent PAYE position, working Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), primarily field-based across the Southeast and Midlands. The work is day work, Monday to Friday. You will be home every night as this is planned electrical maintenance and they want you as close to the job as possible, so will schedule the planned electrical maintenance works accordingly. Home locations of Electricians to include Kent, Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire, Luton, Cambridgeshire & Essex.

The Role of an Electrician

As Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical PPM’s across commercial and industrial sites. You will represent the company on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, professionally, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out electrical maintenance works within commercial and industrial properties
  • Maintaining and repairing electrical systems such as emergency lighting, fire alarms, access control, solar panels and EV charging equipment
  • Carrying out PPM’s
  • Providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients on-site
  • Accurately updating electronic job sheets and documentation
  • Travelling to sites across the Southeast and West Midlands (flexibility required subject to your home location)
  • Ensuring full compliance with electrical regulations and codes
  • Following all health and safety procedures and reporting any potential risks
  • Maintaining the highest safety standards at all times

Flexibility for rare, occasional overnight stays is required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A valid ECS Gold Card
  • 18th Edition qualification
  • Test & Inspection (2391) or (6791) is ideal but not essential
  • A full, manual UK driving licence is a must
  • IPAF (desirable)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Solid experience in commercial and industrial electrical installations
