Our client has been at the forefront of UK Clinical Diagnostics and Laboratory Products for decades, playing a pivotal role in the early inception of bowel cancer screening programmes across the UK. They work closely with the NHS nationwide to ensure smooth, effective delivery and have been instrumental in the transition to the more sensitive, specific and automated Faecal Immunochemical Testing (FIT) technology.
As our presence continues to grow, we are now seeking an accomplished North West Key Account Manager to manage and develop existing NHS relationships across a strategically important territory.
The Role:
This is a true relationship-led sales role, responsible for managing and growing key clinical accounts across both NHS and private hospitals. You will sell a comprehensive portfolio that includes:
- Bowel cancer screening and FIT diagnostic kits
- Clinical chemistry and specialist biomarker assays
- A wide range of high-quality laboratory consumables and equipment, including our client's trusted brands of pipettes, sample collection and packaging systems
Key NHS centres across Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham will form a significant part of your customer base.
You will:
- Develop deep, long-term relationships with clinical chemistry laboratory managers, senior biomedical scientists and procurement teams
- Track and manage NHS contract renewal timelines, ensuring proactive engagement and successful re-tenders
- Act as a trusted partner, understanding clinical laboratory workflows and aligning our client's solutions to customer needs
- Deliver sustainable growth through consultative, value-based selling rather than volume-driven activity

About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology or similar degree
- Hands-on experience having previously worked as a Biomedical Scientist, with a strong understanding of NHS blood sciences and clinical chemistry laboratory workflows
- Proven experience selling clinical diagnostics, medical diagnostics, laboratory consumables or equipment through the NHS tendering process
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly within NHS procurement and laboratory settings
- A consultative, relationship-driven approach to sales
