Maintenance Operative

Location: Dinnington / North of England
Role Type: Field-based with warehouse support

We are now looking for a hands‑on Maintenance Operative to support our growing operation across the North of England and Scotland.

As Maintenance Operative, you will work closely with the Operations Manager and Operations Administrator to support the installation, cleaning, servicing and repair of Bigbelly units at customer sites. You will also assist with warehouse activity at our Dinnington site, including receiving, handling, storing, packing and preparing stock and spare parts.

This Maintenance Operative role would suit someone practical, reliable and comfortable working independently, with good attention to detail, strong customer focus and confidence using tools, equipment and job‑scheduling systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Travelling to customer sites across the North of England and Scotland to complete scheduled work
  • Carrying out cleaning, maintenance and repair work on Bigbelly units
  • Supporting the installation of Bigbelly units in public spaces and customer locations
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, on time and to the required standard
  • Liaising with the Operations Manager and Operations Administrator to plan and prioritise daily tasks
  • Using a job‑scheduling app to manage and complete assigned work
  • Supporting the movement and delivery of Bigbelly units, parts and equipment
  • Assisting with stock handling, packing, storage and preparation at the warehouse
  • Inspecting tools, equipment and machinery and reporting any issues
  • Communicating professionally with customers, colleagues and wider operational teams
  • Supporting general warehouse and logistics activity when required
  • Working in line with company procedures, health and safety standards and legal requirements

Some travel will involve overnight stays, particularly when supporting customer sites further afield. Weekend work may occasionally be required but is not the norm.

About You

  • GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent
  • A full clean driving licence
  • Practical technical experience and confidence using power tools
  • Good problem‑solving skills
  • The ability to work safely and independently
  • Awareness of health and safety requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused approach
  • Confidence working to schedules and completing tasks on time
  • The ability to work with colleagues, customers and teams at all levels
  • Availability to travel across the UK, including overnight stays when required
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • Ability to travel to Future Street warehouse locations in Europe if needed

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

  • Previous experience in a maintenance, servicing or field‑based role
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
  • Confidence learning new systems and job‑scheduling apps
  • Experience driving Luton vans with tail lifts
  • A forklift licence
  • Experience with vinyl or graphics application
