We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support the installation, maintenance, and fault-finding of electrical systems across our operational sites. You will work on production-critical machinery and infrastructure, supporting continuous operations while ensuring the highest safety and compliance standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and align electrical systems, machinery, and equipment
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults to minimise downtime
- Work on industrial production equipment, including motors, VSDs, PLC-controlled systems, contactors, and instrumentation
- Support mechanical breakdowns where required and work collaboratively with mechanical teams
- Ensure all work complies with electrical safety standards, site procedures, and legislation
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Handle materials, components, and tools safely and efficiently
- Work closely with Engineers, Supervisors, and Site Management to improve reliability and performance
- Participate in a weekend on-call rota as required
What We’re Looking For
- FETAC Level 6 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Trade
- Minimum 2 years’ post-apprenticeship experience
- National Trade Certificate / Trade Card
- Proven experience working on industrial sites or production environments
- Strong technical knowledge of: Motors, contactors, VSDs, PLC-controlled systems, industrial wiring, containment, instrumentation, starters, and temporary installations
- An interest in mechanical systems and the ability to support mechanical breakdowns
- MEWP experience is advantageous (training can be provided)
- Full driving licence and own transport advantageous
- Fluent English
- Flexible and willing to participate in a weekend shift rota
