About the Role

Panda Waste is a trusted leader in waste transportation, specialising in efficient, sustainable management solutions that power the circular economy. We are looking for a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our growing team based out of our Bromborough depot, specifically operating Artic Curtainside trailers.

The Role

Operating from our Bromborough site, you will play a vital role in our regional transport operations. With a 4:00am start time, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Class 1 vehicles, ensuring the seamless movement of materials using curtainside trailers while upholding our commitment to safety and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Operation: Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles and Artic Curtainside trailers.
  • Load Security: Ensure all curtainside loads are safely secured using straps and buckles prior to transit.
  • Compliance: Maintain accurate digital logs and ensure strict adherence to EU drivers’ hours regulations and the Working Time Directive.
  • Maintenance: Conduct thorough daily walk‑around vehicle safety checks and promptly report any defects.
  • Customer Service: Act as a professional ambassador for Panda Waste at all collection and delivery points.

What We Are Looking For

  • A valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence.
  • An up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven Class 1 driving experience.
  • Previous experience securing loads on Curtainside trailers.
  • A reliable, professional attitude with a commitment to vehicle safety.
