We’re partnering with an ambitious MSP looking to appoint a commercially minded CTO to drive the next phase of growth through AI, automation, and data-led transformation.
The purpose of the role:
- Lead the AI, automation, and data strategy for a growing, forward-thinking MSP.
- Board-level role combining internal transformation with customer-facing CTO leadership.
- Opportunity to shape market positioning, technology direction, and future growth.
This is not a traditional infrastructure CTO role. The focus is on leveraging AI, automation, orchestration, and data engineering to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, customer experience, and business intelligence — both internally and for customers.
The business has a mature Snowflake data environment and is looking for someone who can unlock greater value through intelligent workflows, reporting, automation, and AI-driven transformation.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will act as both an internal technology leader and customer-facing CTO, helping shape strategy, influence stakeholders, and position the business as a leader in AI-enabled MSP services.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the AI and automation strategy.
- Drive operational efficiency through AI-enabled workflows and automation.
- Maximise value from the Snowflake data platform.
- Advise customers on AI, automation, and data strategy as a trusted vCTO.
- Support go-to-market offerings around AI and data services.
- Represent the business through customer engagement, partnerships, and thought leadership.
What They’re Looking For
- Experience as a CTO, Technology Director, Head of Innovation, or similar leadership role within an MSP or technology services environment.
- Strong understanding of AI, automation, operational transformation, and data platforms.
- Commercially minded with the ability to bridge strategy and technical delivery.
- Comfortable operating at board level and customer-facing environments.
- Experience with Snowflake, Power BI, Power Automate, Azure AI, APIs, or orchestration platforms would be beneficial.
