We are working with a fast-growing technology and network services business that is looking for a driven Desk-Based Business Development Manager / SDR to join its Glasgow-based sales team.
This is a genuine new business generation role focused on creating opportunities across the UK mid-market and enterprise space, typically targeting businesses with 250+ users.
You will be responsible for identifying target accounts, engaging senior IT and business stakeholders, uncovering potential challenges within their current environment and booking high-quality meetings for the senior field sales team.
This is not a role where success is measured purely by the number of calls you make.
The focus is on quality conversations, qualified opportunities and revenue-generating meetings.
The Role
You will be responsible for
- Researching target accounts and building high-quality prospect lists
- Identifying key decision-makers across IT and business functions
- Conducting high-activity outbound prospecting and cold calling
- Engaging prospects to understand their current technology environment and business challenges
- Generating qualified meetings for senior field-based sales professionals
- Booking approximately 3 quality customer meetings per week
- Managing the meeting-generation process from initial research through to qualification and booking
- Working closely with field sales, technical presales and vendor partners on campaigns and follow-up activity

Commission
You'll earn on the following.
- Meeting-to-customer conversions – earn commission when a booked meeting turns into a paying customer
- Multi-year contracts– commission is paid annually for the life of the contract
- Recurring earnings – build a growing income stream from the business you've generated over time
The package includes
- Up to £35,000 basic salary + £15k OTE (year 1)
